Hi, I’m Manas Winfield, LCSW, and I offer Online Individual and Group Psychotherapy for Adults in Georgia.
As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with 7+ years of experience, I am here to listen to you with respect, empathy, and a positive mindset. I have seen how authentic human connection has great power to heal, and I believe everyone deserves the support that lets them know they are seen and heard. I help you identify your strengths and support you as you navigate life’s challenging moments so you can spend more time celebrating your successes along the way. I am thankful for having been able play a part in the journeys of growth of many individuals of diverse identities and from all walks of life. In my free time I find joy in Indian classical music, movies, visual art, poetry, family, and friends.
What can I help you with?
Identity and Meaning: You find it difficult to fit into all the roles society wants you to play, you face stress related to your cultural identity, or you’re struggling to find meaning in life.
Feeling stuck: You know something has to change, but you’re struggling to figure out what or how.
Life Transitions: Relationships, career changes, grief or loss, relocation, identity shifts, or other changes have disrupted your direction or sense of purpose.
Self-Confidence: You understand your patterns intellectually but continue to struggle with self-doubt, criticism or insecurity.
Relationships: You want healthier communication, stronger boundaries, or a deeper understanding of recurring relationship issues.
Stress or Anger: You are overwhelmed, emotionally reactive, or tired of responding to life in ways that don’t feel like you.
Addiction & Recovery: You’re dealing with concerns about your substance-use and the complex interaction of addiction and mental health.
Anxiety: You frequently find yourself overthinking and worrying about what could go wrong or worst-case scenarios
What is therapy with me like?
My approach is warm, collaborative, and person-centered. I don’t see you as a diagnosis or a problem to be fixed. Together, we can make sense of what’s happening, identify what matters to you, and work toward meaningful change. I’ve been told that I have a calming presence and I excel in building rapport with all kinds of people. I am fortunate to have served a wide variety of patients and have learned more about practice and life from each one, allowing me to draw from experience to treat your unique dynamic needs.
A real conversation: A space where you can talk honestly with a professional without needing to perform, impress, justify or have everything figured out.
Understanding patterns: We look at the thoughts, emotions, behaviors, relationships and circumstances that keep you where you are, so you can find out ways to make meaningful changes for your life.
Turning insight into change: When appropriate, therapy becomes practical: identifying choices, experimenting with new behaviours and responses, and building on strengths you already possess.
What can you expect once you’ve booked your first session with me?
After we introduce ourselves during our first session, you can expect us to begin to develop the trust and rapport needed in every client/therapist relationship. This means finding out about what challenges you’ve been going through and identifying what you’d like to get out of therapy. Each session is your time and I aim to stay down-to-earth, focused, open-minded, genuine, and committed to understanding what you’re going through so we can help you arrive at meaningful insights and solutions.
Why work with me?
My Experience: I’ve provided Individual psychotherapy with adults from varied backgrounds and with a wide range of concerns for over 7 years
Empathic approach: I place great importance on being non-judgmental, respectful, honest, empathic, and genuine with you no matter what you share with me or what you are going through
Broader Perspective: My interests in psychology, philosophy, creativity, art, literature, and music and my multicultural identity shape the perspective I bring to understanding human experience.
What makes you a good fit to work with me?
You are willing to be curious about yourself. You want therapy to be collaborative rather than something done to you. You are interested not merely in symptom relief but also in understanding your patterns and making meaningful changes. You don’t identify as being in crisis, but you know something in your life needs attention. You value honesty, empathy and an open-minded conversation.
When may I not be the right fit for you?
I do not provide crisis intervention or emergency mental-health services, and I do not work with court-mandated clients. If you are experiencing an immediate mental-health emergency or actively experiencing suicidal thoughts, please seek emergency support or call/text 988.
